Sheila Rae Harrison

Sheila Rae Harrison, 83, of Parkersburg passed away at Marietta Memorial Hospital on September 21, 2020.She was born September 11, 1937 in Wood County to the late George E. and Geneva O. Foutty Buffington.She was a loving homemaker, a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Eagle’s.She also worked with her parents at Buffington’s Superette which later was the Mary Carter Paint Company. Left behind to cherish her memory is her son, Charles Harrison of Parkersburg, three daughters, Debbie (Bill) Bever of Ravenswood, WV, Rebecca Morehead and Robin (Bill) Newbrough both of Parkersburg, WV, five grandchildren, Dustin Morehead, Brian Franklin, Natasha Harrison, Nikkie Lyster and Christopher Newbrough, and three great-grandchildren, Leigha , Kinleigh and Rylynne. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harrison and son, Steve Harrison. The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice for their care during Sheila’s illness. There will be a private funeral service at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg with Pastor Brady Stephens officiating.Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.Visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 6 pm to 8pm at the funeral home.Masks and social distancing are required.
