Margie Lucille Lyons

Margie Lucille Whited Lyons, 91, was born January 14, 1926 in Parkersburg, WV the daughter of the late Russell V. and Adath Rhodes Whited. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Trinity Methodist Women and the South Parkersburg Woman’s Club. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Steve) Mahaffey of Parkersburg, Granddaughters, Julia (Don) Maloney, III, of Parkersburg, Kristi Mahaffey (Joe) Benbow of Chambersburg, PA and Grandson, Kevin (Sarah) Mahaffey of Parkersburg.Also surviving are Great-Grandsons, Matthew Maloney, Ryan Benbow and Elijah Mahaffey, Great-Granddaughters, Lauren Maloney, Lauren Benbow and Emma Mahaffey, two sisters, Lillian Spencer of Parkersburg and Wanda Campbell of Zapata, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Denzil “Dennie” Lyons, a son Dr. John David Lyons, MD., a twin sister, Mary Whited Morris, sisters, Edna Whited Marcellus and Ruth Pierre Whited, brothers, Russell “Rusty” Whited and Louis Whited. She has requested that donations be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 2406-10th Avenue, Parkersburg, WV 26101. Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 521 5th St., Parkersburg with Pastor Michael Daniels officiating.Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery.Visitation will also be on Saturday, February 18, 2016 from Noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
