Lacy Louise Miller

Lacy Louise Miller, 93, of Vienna, W.Va. died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Parkersburg, W.Va. Mrs. Miller was born June 4, 1920 at Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Jesse A. and Lacy Alice Morgan McGeary. She was a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.For many years, she and her sisters, Ruth and Pat, were members of the trio, “The McGeary Sisters”.They had made recordings, enjoyed singing at children’s hospitals and were popular guests on local radio stations.She had been employed at Diamond Dept. Store, as a bookkeeper with the WV Dept. of Highways and retired as manager of the local ABC state liquor store.She enjoyed fishing, vacationing at the beach, and above all else, she loved God with all of her heart. Louise is survived by a daughter, Lacy Jo (Bob) Wilson of Vienna; a son, Andy (Chris) Miller of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Heidi Life, Renae Cox, Sabrina Strothers, Joshua Posey and Joseph Miller; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paul Miller in 1969; and by three sisters, Patricia Goldsmith, Ruth McGeary and Justine Eby. The family sincerely thanks Dr. James Spychalski, Angie, his office nurse, and the nursing staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their very special loving care. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg.Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2013 at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 903 Charles Street, Parkersburg with The Reverend Marjorie Bevans officiating.Concluding services and interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
