Zetta A. Sarver

Zetta Arlene Thrash Sarver, 78, of Walker, W.Va., passed away September 11, 2019 at Wyngate Senior Living Community, Parkersburg. Mrs. Sarver was born February 1, 1941 at Parkersburg, a daughter of the late John and Alta U. McCandless Thrash. Mrs. Sarver retired from the Wood County school system in 1993 after teaching twenty years, mostly at Kanawha Elementary School.She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the American Assoc. of University Women. She is survived by her husband, John A. Sarver, Sr.; her son, John Sarver II and his wife, Susan of Washington, Utah; a sister, Patricia Walker of Huntsville, Alabama; a brother, John Thrash of Tucson, Arizona; four grandchildren, Emily Crutchfield, Amanda Kolody, Matthew Sarver and Molly Rost; and three great-grandchildren, Noah Crutchfield, Makenna Crutchfield and Issac Kolody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Benjamin Sarver. A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Ave., Parkersburg.Pastor Don Yeager will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg.The family will receive friends at the funeral home, from 6 until 8 P.M., Tuesday.
