Wilma Lucille Thompson

WILMA L. THOMPSON Wilma Lucille Thompson, 85, of Parkersburg, WV went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 7, 2018.She was born in Harrisville, WV, a daughter of the late Alvin K. and Elizabeth V. Moore. She was a longtime member of the South Parkersburg United Methodist Church.She was married to Charles V. Thompson, Sr. and they had one son, Charles V. (Robin) Thompson, Jr, the love of their lives, and who also gave them three grandchildren, Matthew A. Thompson, Sarah J. (Chuck) Paxton and Rebecca L. Thompson, and a great-grandchild, Jack P. Paxton.She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, sewing and reading her Bible. Other survivors include one sister, Kathleen L. Riel, two brothers, Carlos R. Moore and Gary L. Moore and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles V. Thompson, Sr., and son, Charles V. Thompson, Jr., as well as her parents and siblings, Maxine V. DeLancy, Donna M. Moore and Dennis R. Moore. Friends and Family are invited to attend the service on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2pm at Kimes Funeral Home, 521-5th St., Parkersburg with Reverend Jim Plyburn officiating.Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.Visitation will be on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm also at the funeral home.
