William J. Milligan

JOE MILLIGAN William J. Milligan fought 361 days before pancreatic cancer won. Joe's last day was December 27, 2019 at home with his wife at his side. He was born July 19, 1944 in OakRidge, TN, the son of the late Vaughn and Mary Milligan. A 1964 graduate of Ravenswood High School, he retired from Ames True Temper, plant 2, after 35 years of service. Joe was a member of the North End church of Christ where he met and married his wife, Terri, in 1973. Together they raised two children, Eric (Suzie) of North Royalton, OH and Staci (Mike) Smith of Franklin, TN. He was proud of their accomplishments and would readily discuss them with you. Surviving and keeping his memory, in addition to his wife and children, are siblings Rosemary Peck, Kenneth Milligan and Sharon Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Doris Rogers, brother-in-law Michael Rogers, and siblings, Ronald and Stephen Milligan, Linda Kirk and Betty Rittenhouse. Services will be conducted, Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11a.m. at Kimes Funeral Home with Evangelist Steven Haguewood officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen North.Visitation will be 2-8pm on Sunday, December 29, 2019 and one hour prior to the service on Monday. The family would like to give a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice, Dr. Devaki Siva and staff at the Belpre Strecker Center and to the Eagle Pointe staff for the emotional support shown towards the family.
