William Page "Bill" Davis, 78, of Parkersburg, passed away Aug. 4, 2017, at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born Nov. 4, 1938, in Nutter Fort, W.Va., to the late Beulah Davis and was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Louis Shingleton. Bill was a Chemical Operator at Cytec and a faithful member of North End Church of Christ. He loved volunteering at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home and the Mid-Ohio Valley Work Camp. He also loved meeting every morning with his good friends at Burger King solving the worlds problems. He is survived by his wife, Donna S. Davis; three sons, Michael (Tonya) Davis of Vienna, W.Va., Jonathan (Angela) Davis of Grove City, Ohio, and David (Stephanie) Davis of Manassas, Va.; one daughter, Kelly (Michael) Reed of Davisville, W.Va.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Louis (Barbara) Shingleton Jr. of Franklinville, N.Y., and Richard (Karen) Shingleton of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Evelyn (Raymond) Robertson of Tonawanda, N.Y., and Louise Brown of Buffalo, N.Y.; and his faithful companion "Duke." In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Jo Hedrick; one brother, Andrew Shingleton; and one sister, Elizabeth Norris. Friends and Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg, with Evangelist Steven Haguewood officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Mid-Ohio Valley Work Camp.
