William "Bill" Kirk

William “Bill” Joseph Kirk, 62, of Parkersburg, passed away peacefully at his home on August 9, 2021. He was born June 11, 1959. A son of Romie Lee and Eleanor Grace (Loscar) Kirk of Parkersburg, WV. He is preceeded in death by his biological father Eber Enoch, sisters Pam Kirk and DeeDee Carver, father-in-law Joy Weaver, brother-in-law John Weaver, aunt Eleanor “Jake” Kirk and grandmother Faye Davis. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sheryl Kirk, son Josh Kirk (Candace) and daughters Elaina Clegg and AlishaMae Towner (Jacob). His adored grandchildren Ethen Ruble, Liz Kirk, Drew Towner, Tyler Clegg, Jack Clegg, TaylorMae Towner, and Nolan Towner. Siblings Carole Byrd, Dave Kirk (Penny), Mike Kirk (Tanya), Robert Enoch and Nancy Sawyer, as well as many nieces and nephews. In his older years he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and hanging out with his beloved friends Ken McKaughan, Kyle Wilson and Phil McMahan. He will be fondly remembered for his obnoxious ever-changing stories. He had an ornery sense of humor that came out in the most tense moments and always reminded us to enjoy ourselves. He played a mean air guitar and was quite simply a blast to be around. Heaven became a brighter place when he strolled through those pearly gates. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Vaughan-Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth Street, Parkersburg. Celebration of Life will be announced at a future date.
