William "Big Bill" Burns

William C. "Big Bill" Burns of Vienna, WV passed away unexpectedly on March 5th, 2024 at his residence.

He was born in Charleston, WV on June 5th, 1967, a son of the late Geraldine and William Burns.

Bill was an exceptional bowler and won several awards. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He worked for several years at Cytec until he suffered a stroke which left him partially paralyzed and bedridden. Through it all, he never lost his goofy sense of humor.

Bill is survived by his two sons, Will Burns(Jessica) and Dalton Burns; grandsons, Thorin and Bruce Burns; sisters, Sue Burns and Cindy Parmiter (Larry); niece, Ashlyn Parmiter; his partner and caregiver, Christal Archer; and her sons, Isaac and Zack McDonald. Isaac also helped with Bill's care and was his scary movie buddy. Bill is also survived by his cat companions and special dog, Archie.

In honoring Bill's final wishes, he will be cremated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Vaughan-Kimes Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
