William "Gail" Butcher, 73, of Mineral Wells, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg. He was born March 6, 1942, at Braxton County, W.Va., a son of the late Pierson Butcher and Virginia Simmons Butcher. He had been employed by Storck Baking Co., was a U.S. Army Veteran and enjoyed reading and his rocking chair. Survivors include his wife, Patricia "Patty" Hoover Butcher; a daughter, Angela (Luke Williamson) Butcher, of Coolville, Ohio, a son, Douglas (Crystal) Butcher, of Mineral Wells; two brothers, Donnie (Kathy) Butcher, of Cumming, Ga., and Pierson "Butch" Butcher of Ohio; two sisters, Patricia "Patsy" (Dwaine) Shaver of Newark, Del., and Nancy Fowler of Gassaway, W.Va.; and two grandchildren, Willow and Silas Butcher. Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015, at the Flatwoods Cemetery, Braxton County, W.Va., with the Pastor Linn Schiefer officiating.
