WANDA JEAN SAMS Wanda Jean Sams, 86, of Parkersburg passed away October 20, 2018 at The Willows Center.She was born July 28, 1932 in Wood County, WV to the late Wade and Mary Deem Wigal.She was a Wood County Clerk and had also worked at the Wood County Bank as a Teller.She was also a member of the Squarengers Square Dance Club and loved camping.She was a member of the DAR of Blennerhassett, the Samaritan Sunday School Class, sang in the choir at South Parkersburg Baptist Church where she was a member for 62 years, taught small children at church and had a Madam Alexander Doll Collection.She also graduated Parkersburg High School. She is survived by a sister, Betty (Jack) Wilson of Wadesville, two nephews, Kermit Hale of Parkersburg, Kenneth (Amber) Hale of Newark, WV and a Great-Niece, Mary Hale of Mineral Wells, WV. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell H. Sams and a sister, Donna Reed. Friends and Family are invited to the Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg with Pastor Frank Miller officiating.Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home and also from 9 am until service time at 1:30 pm on Wednesday.
