Walter Kenneth Lucas, 95, of Parkersburg passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Cedar Grove Personal Care Center. He was born July 7, 1921 in Wood County, WV to the late Thomas H. and Emma May Bartlett Lucas. He worked for American Cyanamid as a Chief Office Clerk of Shipping and was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his son, Robert (Amy Phelps) Lucas of Belpre, Ohio and his daughter, Cathy (Scott) Paul of Indian Trail, NC, four grandchildren, Anne, Amanda, and Katrina Lucas and Eryn Thompson, one great-grandson, Carter Thompson, a sister, Margie Fay Snider, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lucas, one son, Jeffrey Lucas, three brothers, Thomas O. Lucas, J. Earl Lucas and Ira Eldon Lucas and three sisters, Opal R. Haugh, Nellie Freda Lucas and Nina Fern Lucas. Friends and Family are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Evergreen South Cemetery with Pastor Kent Lowther officiating.
