VIRGINIA “GINNIE” COCHRAN Virginia Nell “Ginnie” Cochran, 86, of Belleville, WV passed away January 30, 2018 at the Belpre Emergency Room, Belpre, OH.She was born September 11, 1931 in Marietta, OH to the late Evangelist Fred E. and Bessie Caskin Dennis.She was a lifelong member of the church of Christ being associated with and teaching ladies bible classes at the many churches that her husband preached at; including locations at Elizabeth, WV, Martinsburg, WV, Rome, Ohio, Moorefield, WV, Toronto, Ohio, Caldwell, Ohio and Rosemar Road in Parkersburg, WV. She was a Secretary for Parkersburg High School, Secretary for the Belleville Homecoming, was active in PTA, girl scouts and helped with Cub Scouts in Caldwell, OH.She also wrote for the Noble County, Ohio news and was a reporter for the Marietta Times.In her early years she had worked at S. S. Kresge and also in the office at Marietta Hospital.She was always in the Honor Society at Marietta High School. She is survived by her husband, Benton K.Cochran, one son, James E. (Pamela) Cochran of Fayetteville, NC, two daughters, Janie M. (Craig) Corley of Kirbyville, Texas and Peggy (Paul) Neel of Chesapeake, OH, one grandson, Tad K. (Lindsay) Smith of Aguadilla, Puerto, Rico and one great-grandchild, Riley Vesper. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, William Dennis and infant brother, Joseph Dennis,four sisters, Helen Mason,Ruth Knight, Betty Yerkey and Esther Hickerson. Friends and Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg with Evangelist Randy Yerby and Evangelist Paul Jarrett officiating.Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.Visitation will be on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 4 pm until 8 pm at Kimes Funeral Home.
