Victor Gale Hyde

Victor Gale Hyde, 72, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Arbors Nursing Home in Marietta, Ohio. Victor was a 1963 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He served as a mechanic in Vietnam for the United States Air Force and retired from the Wood County Board of Education as a maintenance man. His favorite past times were watching his grandkids and going to local Bluegrass and country music sings. He was born April 19, 1944 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a son of the late Ira Blair and Chloe Christine Hosaflook Hyde. Victor is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joyce Irene Maxson Hyde; two children, Kenneth (Sandra) Hyde of Vienna and April Hyde of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Dustin (Jennifer) Hall, Rockie (Micheal) Kelley, and Phillip Hyde, all of Parkersburg; one brother, Gary (Shirley) Hyde of Florida; one great-grandson, Cameron Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tia Hyde; one sister, Joan Dotson Hyde; and four brothers, Virgil Hyde, Bill Hyde, Dale Hyde, and Arden Hyde. A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later time.
