Twila Marie Etter, 88, of Stafford, Virginia formerly of Parkersburg and Belpre passed away October 12, 2016 at Woodmont Center at Fredericksburg, Virginia. She was born July 21, 1928 in Parkersburg a daughter of the late Stewart and Orrie Secrist Mason.She worked in Human Resources for Sears Roebuck for twenty one years.She was a member and Past Matron of Parkersburg, Chapter No. 14, Order of the Eastern Star, a Past Worthy High Priestess of Bethany Shrine No. 4, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and served as Supreme Worthy High Priestess of the Supreme Shrine, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem in 1983-1984.She was a member of the Order of the Amaranth, having served as Royal Matron of Royal Court No. 5, Parkersburg, WV, Grand Royal Matron of the Grand Court of West Virginia and served as Supreme Royal Matron of the Supreme Council, Order of the Amaranth, Inc.She was a member and a Past High Priestess of Hathor Court #3, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America; Parkersburg, WV, a member of the Rockland U. M. Church and in later years a member of the Red Hat Society. She is survived by a son, Jeffery S. (Perla) McDonald of Stafford, VA, and a step-son, Michael (Beth) Etter of Battle Creek, Michigan.She is also survived by a grandson, Joshua S. McDonald and step-grandchildren, Michelle Smith and Dolly Santana and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her second husband, Paul L. Etter and her first husband, Virgil Harold McDonald, Jr., two brothers, Paul E. Mason and William Mason. Friends and Family are invited to attend the Order of Amaranth Service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg with Funeral Services immediately following.The Funeral Service will be conducted by Evangelist John Rockhold, III and burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.Visitation will also be on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memorial Donations may be made to Order of Amaranth Diabetes Foundation, Parkersburg, WV.
