Timothy L. Bauer

Timothy L. Bauer, 73, of Parkersburg, passed away peacefully at home following an extended illness with his wife by his side on Friday, January 12, 2024.

He was born November 15, 1950, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, a son of the late Vallie “Junior” Bauer and Lucy M. Bauer Jackson.

Tim retired from Hope Gas after over 30 years of service. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church and he was a 40 year friend of Bill W. He was a dog lover, an avid golfer, and he enjoyed hunting, local sports, the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, and his daily ice cream.

Tim’s most treasured role was “Gramps” to his grandchildren and he loved doting on them. He was a quiet and generous man, he shared his heart, time, resources, and well-earned counsel.

He will be deeply missed and his loved ones will carry him in their hearts, including his wife, Francine Kidd Bauer; daughter, Jessica Johnson (Lee); two sons, Brian Lee (Heather), and Bradley Dilly (Cindy); two brothers, James Bauer (Connie) and Eddie Bauer (Vicki); his prides-in-joy, grandchildren, Brody Johnson (Kacie), Myles Johnson, Mason Dilly, Kennedy Lee, and Corinne Lee; good friend, John Mason; many close family members; and his beloved dog, Rocky.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1710 23rd St, Parkersburg, WV, with Pastor Kurt Busiek officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg. His family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home, Parkersburg, and one hour prior to service at the church.
