Stephen Ray Varner, Jr.

Stephen Ray Varner Jr, 48, of Parkersburg, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Camden Clark Medical Center.

He was born in Parkersburg, a son of Stephen and Barbara Stephens Varner of Mineral Wells.

Stephen was a 1994 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and was a retired Staff Sergeant from the United States Army, Air Bourne Infantry having served in the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, earning a Purple Heart. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, fireworks, video games, hunting, and shooting.

In addition to his parents, those left to carry his memory include his sons, Sebastian Varner, Stephen A. Varner and Nicolas Varner, and brother, Christopher Varner (Ashley).

His family will mourn his passing in private. Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted to assist with final arrangements.
