Shirley Mae Nichols

Shirley Mae Nichols, 90, of Parkersburg passed away January 25, 2019 at her home.She was born August 14, 1928 to the late John and Marie Taylor Youngman.She retired from Hill’s Department Store as a Senior Associate.She was a member of Boaz Baptist church, the American Legion Auxillary Post #15, and a Lifetime PTA member. Left to cherish her memory is her son-in-law, Michael Gent, two grandchildren, Stephanie LaMar and Michael Jason Gent, and two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Olivia. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Gordon Nichols, two daughters, Sandra Nichols andSusan Gent and one brother, James Youngman. A funeral service is planned for Friday, February 1, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg with Reverend Lance Hitt officiating.Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery.Visitation will also be on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 10 am to 1 pm at the funeral home.
