Sheila Rae Holland Peters

Sheila Rae Holland Peters, 72, of Mineral Wells, WV was born March 6, 1944 at Clover, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Herbert and Marie Boggs Holland. After sixteen years courageously battling cancer and Alzheimer's, Sheila died peacefully at home on Friday, July 8, 2016, surrounded by family and friends. Sheila was a graduate of Parkersburg High School, St. Joseph's School of Nursing and Marietta College.She retired as a supervisory nurse from Kaiser Aluminum Corporation in Ravenswood, WV.Sheila was a member of Edgelawn U.M. Church. She is survived by her husband, Ray Peters; her primary care giver and loving sister, Sharon Sue Holland Brown (Tom) with whom she resided the past twelve years.Also surviving is her brother, Robert P. Holland (Dolly); brother in law, Bernard Tuell; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services with burial to follow will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Clover Cemetery in Roane County, WV with Pastor Robert P. Holland officiating.There will be no visitation. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, consider a contribution to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Nurse Dee Dee Nichols, Amedysis Hospice and Dr. Avery for their love and care.
