Sharon Sue Gates

Sharon Sue Gates, 55, of Parkersburg, West Virginia went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg surrounded by her three children.

She was born July 31, 1968, in Parkersburg, a daughter of Brady Hoover and the late Rea Swisher Hoover.

Sharon was Christian by faith, and she enjoyed talking with people, socializing with neighbors, watching the news, and “tormenting” her family, especially her children.

Her memory will carry on through her loved ones, father, Brady Denver Hoover; daughter, Whitney Gates (Katie Barnhart); two sons, Tyler Gates (Rachael) and Casey Gates; brother, Denver Ray Hoover; three grandchildren, Christopher Pierce, Ebonie Ferguson, and Taj Ferguson; special friends, Katie Lynch, Amanda Anderson, and Charis Grogan; and her fur-babies, Bella, CoCo, Penelope, and Cooper.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Amanda Lynn Hoover.

A Celebration of her life will be conducted at a later date. Details will be announced once completed.
