Scotty Arthur

Scotty Arthur, 69, of Danville, West Virginia, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 23, 2024.

He was born in Madison, West Virginia, a son of the late William and Velma Lockard Arthur.

Scotty was a longtime member of Cox’s Fork Freewill Baptist. He never met a stranger and was kind to everyone and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and his cats, Q-tip and Kiss, and enjoyed hot rods and muscle cars and playing guitar and singing with Kim.

His memory will be carried in the hearts of his loved ones, including his wife, Tisha Gail Brown Arthur; children, Chris Arthur (Jessica), Kim Browning (Jon), and Kevin Kidd (Angel Marcum); grandchildren, Alexxia Dolin, Jonathan Aaron Browning, Aaron Browning, Eli Browning, and Emma Rae Browning; and siblings, Linda Perry, William L. Arthur, Dorothy Sue Hernandez, and Barbara Ann Deidrick.

In addition to his parents, Scotty was preceded in death by one brother, Oather Ray “George” Arthur.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Fountain of Life Worship Center, Rock Creek, West Virginia, with Pastor Harley Egnor officiating. Services will conclude with interment in Arthur Family Cemetery at Greenview, Boone County, West Virginia. The Arthur family will receive friends noon until time of service Saturday at the church.
