Ruth I. Woolard

Ruth I. Woolard, 92, of Parkersburg, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019 at Worthington Manor, Parkersburg.Mrs. Woolard was born March 24, 1927 at Walker, WV, a daughter of the late R.R. Jones and Alice Ruth Harper Jones.Her husband, Arthur A. Woolard preceded her in death in 1988. Mrs. Woolard was a housekeeper for area residents and enjoyed traveling the continental forty eight states.She loved gardening, fishing, quilting, sewing and was Methodist by faith. Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia Wilson of Parkersburg; three sons, Lawrence W. Woolard and wife Linda, William A. "Bill" Woolard and Kevin M. Woolard all of Parkersburg; five grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son Ernest Woolard, six sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend Vera Archer officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen North Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Thursday and one hour prior to service on Friday.
