Ruth Pauline Haga, 90, of Cairo, W.Va. passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the West Virginia Masonic Home, Vienna, W.Va. where she had been a resident for more than two years. Mrs. Haga was born April 11, 1925 at Silver Run, Ritchie County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Emery and Lula Maude Gill McGinnis. She had been a telephone operator at Parkersburg and Cairo and retired from Cairo School where she had been a cook and school secretary.Pauline had been a correspondent for the Ritchie Gazette.She was a member of the Harrisville Baptist Church, a 64 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Cairo Chapter and the Cairo Alumni Assoc..She was a past-member of Cairo American Legion Auxiliary, Cairo Fire Dept. Auxiliary, Cairo Garden Club, Cairo United Methodist Church and had been a Cairo 4-H leader. She is survived by one son, Pete (Karen) Haga of Cairo, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Alan and Kelly; two great-grandchildren; a step great-granddaughter; and two step great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Haga on Feb. 11, 2008; by eight brothers, Ralph, Emery, Claude, Pete, Ted, George, Robert and Okey; and by four sisters, Ora, Evelyn, Clara and Marguerite. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the West Virginia Masonic Home, Vienna with Pastor Robert Perine officiating.Graveside committal services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Cairo Masonic Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Ave., Parkersburg, where Order of Eastern Star Services will be at 7 p.m..
