Ruth G. Deberry

Ruth G. DeBerry, 85, of New Philadelphia, Ohio and formerly of Parkersburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Park Village Southside in New Philadelphia, Ohio.Mrs. DeBerry was born in Wood County, WV, a daughter of the late Edward W. and Virginia E. Lowers Conaway. Ruth attended Parkersburg High School and retired from Camden Clark Memorial Hospital after twenty years of service.She was an active member of Heart of Worship Church on 8th Avenue in South Parkersburg and especially enjoyed crocheting and cross word puzzles. Mrs. DeBerry is survived by two sons, Lonnie E. Flinn (Laraine) 0f Canton, Ohio and Jerry L. Flinn (Annitta) of Brooklyn, Ohio; one sister, Peggy Moore of Akron, Ohio; one brother, John H. Conaway of Wildomar, California; six special grandchildren, Christopher L. Flinn(Sherri), Kimberly Flinn, Ryan Flinn(Vanessa), Jared Flinn, Jessica Flinn and LeeAnn McMillan; seven great grandchildren and one former granddaughter in law, Kristine Flinn. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by husbands, Ira E. Flinn, Robert Knicely and Johnny Ray DeBerry; two brothers, Charles and William "Bill" Flinn and one sister, Mary Marie Wright. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Tim Henson officiating.Interment will follow in the Evergreen North Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday and one hour prior to service on Wednesday.In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Heart of Worship Church.
