Ronald D. Eddy

Ronald D. Eddy, 81, of Walker, W.Va., Leachtown Community, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.He was born December 11, 1936 in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Ronald and Madeline Shears Eddy. Ronald was retired from DuPont, Washington Works and was a faithful member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, Newark, W.Va. where he served as Deacon. He is survived by two sons, Ronald David Eddy and Darren Eddy, both of Walker; two daughters, Tammy Eddy of Parkersburg and Connie Goodnight (Richard) of Walker; one sister, Wanda Gough of Sebring, Florida; and two grandchildren, Richard and Dylan Goodnight. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in 2017, by his wife, Loretta Y. Moncrief Eddy; an infant daughter; and one sister, Lawanna Lafferre. Funeral services will be 1 P.M., Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Pleasant View Baptist Church, Newark, W.Va.Pastor Matt Hornbeck will officiate and interment will follow in the Deem Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 P.M., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Ave., Parkersburg and at the church one hour prior to services.
