Roger Allen Hodges

Roger Allen Hodges, 54, of Mineral Wells, WV passed away Saturday July 20, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. He was born on February 26, 1965 in Parkersburg, WV; the son of Mary Moore Hodges and the late Robert Hodges and also Betty Leak. He is a 1983 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was in the Army Reserves.Roger had his own landscaping company, “Yards by Roger.” He loved his church family at Mt. Pleasant U.M. Church and his Preacher Steve Gedon. The members of the church provided a lot of encouragement and support during his illness. He enjoyed working on cars in his spare time; especially his “Other Woman” which was a 1984 Monte Carlo which he loved very much. Roger was the type of person who always had a joke for everyone and a smile on his face. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 22 years, JoDene Cross Hodges of Mineral Wells, one daughter Andrea Hodges and a son Joshua Cale both of Parkersburg; eight brothers and sisters; several nieces and nephews and one special niece, Candy Prall. Roger was preceded in death by his brother Steve Taylor. A private cremation has taken place per request of his wishes and there will be no services at this time.
