Robert “Bob” Earl Smith, 82, of Vincent, Ohio passed away May 13, 2017 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home.He was born February 18, 1935 in Parkersburg to the late Earl R. and Betty Wilson Smith.He worked for Carl Kelley Paving in Security and also in the Janitorial Department. He was in the U. S. Marine Corp and Navy Reserves.He was a former volunteer with Blennerhassett Volunteer Fire Department and was a Hamm Radio Operator. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Bell Smith, one daughter, Mary Jane Ferguson, four grandchildren, Aubrey (Patrick) McMullen of Vincent, Ohio, James (Heather) Ferguson, II of Florida, Philip (Megan) Ferguson of Parkersburg, and Cassie (Jason) Barker of Mineral Wells, eight great-grandchildren, and a former son-in-law, James Ferguson of Davisville. Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral service on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lubeck church of Christ with Evangelist David Newberry and Evangelist Steve Fuchs officiating.Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg and one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday.
