Robert E. Frymier

Robert E. Frymier, 80, of Parkersburg passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 11, 2015. He was born on Sunday, October 21, 1934 at Tanner, Gilmer County, West Virginia, son of the late Paris R. and Gladys Newlon Frymier. Mr. Frymier was a 1953 graduate of the former Tanner High School. He retired from American Cyanamid after 40 years of service. He was a member of Stout Memorial United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees. Bob was very active in the Emerson Senior bowling league and the Pioneer Auto club. Bob will be remembered for his smile and pleasant personality. He never met a stranger, always put others before himself, and was interested in learning and caring about his family and friends. Survivors include his daughter, Debra Busch and husband, Andrew, of Charlotte, North Carolina; son, Jeffrey Frymier and wife, Ann of Oxford, Ohio; four grandchildren, Katherine Busch of Charlotte, North Carolina, David Busch of Columbia, South Carolina, Julie and Nicholas Frymier, both of Oxford, Ohio; he is also survived by five sisters, Rita Stewart, Elaine Perrin, Merceline Bennet, Maxine Gumm, and Sue Amos; and two brothers, William Frymier and Jack Frymier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife on October 7, 2010, Carolyn S. Broadwater Frymier, whom he married June 7, 1957. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Stout Memorial U.M. Church with Reverend Dr. Paul Russell officiating. Services will conclude with interment in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church. For those considering an expression of sympathy, memorials are requested to Strecker Cancer Center, 401 Matthew Street, Marietta, OH 45750. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
