Robert Edward Dickel

Robert Edward Dickel, 84, of Parkersburg passed away January 10, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born February 17, 1935 in Slate, WV and is the son of the late Edward and Carrie Ogden Dickel. He was in Ironworker in Local 787 in Parkersburg and a PHS graduate. Robert enjoyed collecting antiques, playing cards and spending time with family. Left behind to cherish his memory, is his sons, Lynn Dickel (Linda) of Parkersburg, Sam Dickel (Belinda) of Mineral Wells, son in law, Douglas Cox of Belleville; brothers, Jim Dickel (Fern), Dick Dickel and John Dickel (Sharon) all of Parkersburg, Bill Dickel of Mineral Wells, Tom Dickel of Pettyville, Mike Dickel (Christine) of Charleston; sisters, Joann Leggitt and Janice Marion (James) both of Mineral Wells, Karen Hughes of Columbus; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Judith Dickel, daughter Cherie Cox, grandson Christopher Dickel and a brother Hubert Dickel. There are not enough words to express the gratitude the family has for the exceptional loving care of HouseCalls Hospice, a special thanks to nurses Anita Rose, Sydney and John.
