Richard "Rick" Earl Williams

On Saturday, January 7, 2023, God called, and Rick answered.

Richard Earl Williams, 71, passed away after a short illness at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born August 27, 1951, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a son of the late Earl and Flora Williams.

Rick served in the United States Army and had retired after 40 years with Kroger Company. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, he loved hunting, going to flea markets and auctions and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Christina and her husband, Chris Houser of St. Marys, West Virginia and Ryan and fiancée, Sandra Riffle, of Parkersburg, West Virginia; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; siblings, Patty, and husband Mike Thorn of Parkersburg and Lee Williams of Belpre, Ohio; and two nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home with Pastor Lloyd Winnans officiating. Interment with full military honors by American Legion Post 15 will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
