Rex A. Kinney

Rex A. Kinney, 76, of Boaz, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 25, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Parkersburg, the son of the late George E. and Olive B. McAtee Kinney. Mr. Kinney was a United States Air Force veteran serving 1955-1959 and retired July 2000 from Fenton Art Glass after 26 years of service. He loved boating, fishing, hunting, motorcycles, golfing, woodworking, and reading. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 57 years whom he married December 24, 1955, Evelyn M. Keller Kinney; three daughters, Sherri (Conrad) Sterling of Parkersburg, Crystal (Jeff) Horner of Parkersburg, and Amy (John) Sutton of Virginia Beach, VA; two sons, Rick (Teresa) Kinney of Clarksville, TN and Phil (Gaila) Kinney of Florence, SC; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one niece, Tanda Gonzalez. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kinney was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Hoffman. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2013 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Jon Lands officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen North cemetery with full military rites by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday.
