Randy Gene Townsend

Randy Gene Townsend, 64, of Belleville, WV passed away June 12, 2019 at his residence. He was born on August 28, 1954 in Parkersburg, and is the son of Betty Jo Sellers Townsend and the late Gene William Townsend. Randy was a 1973 Parkersburg South High School graduate and retired from DuPont in 2014 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. Randy also was an avid gun collector and he loved spending time with his family. Besides his mother, left to cherish his memory is his wife of 42 years Barbara Barr Townsend of Belleville, two children Steve (Kristie) Townsend of Parkersburg and Krista Bell of Belleville and three grandchildren, Darren and Logan Townsend and Kyra Bell. He is survived by three sisters and a brother; Sandra (Randy) Brown, Candy Fleak, Pam (Bud) VanMatre, and Dan Townsend all of Belleville. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his brother Stephen Townsend and brother in law Jerry Fleak. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Kimes Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Dornon officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Home Cemetery in Belleville. Visitation will be Friday June 14, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday. Online condolences can forwarded to www.kimesfuneralhome.com.
