Phyliss Marie Delancey

Phyllis Marie DeLancey, 81, of Davisville, WV passed away August 23, 2018 at her residence.She was born February 22, 1937 in Pennsboro, WV to the late Clarence and Kathleen Ryan Layfield. She was a 1955 graduate of Pennsboro High School. She had worked at Bausch and Lomb in New York and made nightscopes for the Military and also worked at Laura Mae Garments in shipping. In her younger days, she babysat for many families in the Pennsboro area. She is survived by one brother, George (Linda) Layfield of Cairo, WV, grandchildren, Michael and Chris Dwight, Casey and Amber DeLancey, a special grandson, Jacob DeLancey who she raised from birth to age 10 and who was the Light of her Life,and Jasmine Drain. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ceward DeLancey, brothers, David and Bill Bolinger, and one son Steven DeLancey. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg with Evangelist Elvis Galbreath officiating.Burial of ashes will be atFairmont Ridge Cemetery in Ellenboro, WV at the convenience of the family.
