Paul E. Walters

Paul E. Walters, 72, of Parkersburg, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in the Arbors in Marietta, Ohio. Paul was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late Lawrence V. and Effie Milhoan Walters. Paul was a 1961 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a U.S. Marine having served during the Vietnam War.He was a specialist in jet engine repair and was employed by Continental Airlines at LAX.It was not unusual for Paul to respond across the nation for emergency jet engine repairs.He attended Stout Memorial U.M. Church and was a regular financial supporter to many Christian groups and agencies. Paul is survived by two sons, Kevin Walters (Ann) of Corona, CA and Kenneth Walters (Satanya) of Chandler, AZ; Kevin and Kenneth'smother, Lynn; one sister, Sharon J. Smith of Parkersburg; two brothers, David L. Walters (Shirley) of Bristolville, Ohioand Stephen A. Walters (Jackie) of Parkersburg; and several grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by one son, Keith; infant brother, Jimmy; and his faithful friend and pet cat, Mabel, who he considered a member of the family. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Ray E. Whiteman officiating.Burial with military graveside rites by Parkersburg Post 15 American Legion will follow in the Parkersburg Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
