Ora Joann Cox

Ora JoAnn Cox, 83, formerly of Parkersburg, passed away October 19, 2013 in the Marietta Center.She was born in Rockport, a daughter of the late Ora H. and Lenora Mae Gant Blair. Mrs. Cox retired from Walker Parkersburg and was a waitress at the former Wilmar Cafeteria.She attended St. Paul's U.M. Church. She is survived by three daughters, Dr. Virginia Yvonne Cox of Morgantown, Lois P. Cain-Boggs (Howard) of Bethel Springs, TN, and Linda Coughlin- Ballas of Cleveland; one son, Timothy Gallaway (Tracy) of Ocean Springs, MS; three brothers, Harold, Paul and Jack Blair; several grand, great, and great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by one son Bill Cox; one grandson Sean; one sister and four brothers. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Don Yeager officiating.Interment will follow in the Limestone Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.The family requests memorial donations be considered to help defray unexpected expenses.
