Norma Jean Cole

March 15, 1952 — May 20, 2017

Norma Jean Cole, homemaker, mother, grandmother and loving wife of 39 years to William D. Cole, passed away May 20, 2017 at Charleston Area Medical Center. Norma was born March 15, 1952 at New Martinsville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Clarence H. and Lura Mae Knight Martin.She was a graduate of Pine Grove High School and was a Baptist by faith. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, William Daniel Cole and David Allen Cole, both of Parkersburg; six sisters, Alma Lee Brookover of Vienna, Willadean Ziemer (James) of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Helen Burfield of Nashville, Tenn., Janet Norman (Garner) of Parkersburg, Karen Sue Ice (Larry) of New Martinsville and Eilene Gibson (Lewis) of Ravenna, Ohio; one brother, Harold Stephen Martin of Montgomery, W.Va.; and two grandsons, Sean Jeffrey David Cole and Maddox Daniel Cole. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer Eugene Martin, Carl Jennings Martin and Earl Lyle Martin; and a grandson, Teagen Connor Cole. Graveside services will be 11 A.M., Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Evergreen North Cemetery.The Vaughan Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
