Nicholas Alan Fisher, 23, of Parkersburg went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2016. He was born July 5, 1993 in Parkersburg, a son of Renee Crago Fisher of Parkersburg and Criss Alan Fisher of Parkersburg. Nick was a 2011 graduate of Parkersburg Catholic High School where he was an outstanding athlete and the recipient of several awards for soccer and basketball.He attended Glenville State College on a basketball scholarship.He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his 15 month old son, Chance Alan Fisher of Parkersburg; two sisters, Hannah Renee Fisher and Morgan Kate Fisher, both of Parkersburg; maternal grandmother, Irene Gromek Crago of Weirton, W.Va.; paternal grandmother, Lynda Bennett McDonald (Frank) of Washington W.Va.; paternal grandfather, William T. Fisher (Deanna) of Parkersburg; two aunts, Susan Crago (Jill Apolinario) of North Hampton, Mass. and Kathryn Elliott (Rodney) of Morgantown, W.Va.; and four uncles, Donald Crago of Erie, Pa., Timothy Crago (Tammy) of York, South Carolina, Christopher Crago (Tara) of Weirton, W.Va. and Kevin Thomas Fisher (Trish) of Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Nick was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Crago; and paternal great-grandparents, Ralph and Thelma Fisher and Jesse Glenn and Merle Knick Bennett. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father David L. Huffman officiating.Services will conclude with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2 -4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are preferred to the Chance Alan Fisher Trust Fund currently being established.Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
