Naomi Ruth Stanley

Naomi Ruth Stanley, 91, of Vincent, OH passed away August 31, 2019 at Appletree Assisted Living. Naomi was born August 6, 1928 in Calhoun County, WV. She is the daughter of the late Lottie Morrison and Laura Cooper. Naomi worked many years at the St. Joseph Hospital as a Surgery Tech and attended the Barlow Vincent Church of Christ. Naomi liked cooking, baking, crocheting, vacationing, taking trips to her and her late husband’s cabin in Calhoun County. She also enjoyed her family, church sings and teaching bible class. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children; Mark Stanley (Vicki) of Kansas City, MO, Dwain Stanley ( Marcia) of Washington, WV, Sharon Lynn McClead of Vincent, OH, and Kathy Todd (Butch) of Parkersburg; two brothers, Robert Cooper of Beckley,WV and Dennis Cooper of Parkersburg; and several grand and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Earl Stanley; two brothers, Phillip and Shirley Cooper; and one grandson Seth Aaron Stanley. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday September 5, 2019 at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St. Parkersburg, WV with Evangelist Charles Aebi and Evangelist Nathan Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Wednesday September 4, 2019 at Kimes Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made in Naomi’s memory to either Ohio Valley University or Love & Care Assisted Living.
