Nancy E. Newman

Nancy Emma Newman, 91, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., formerly of Arcata, Calif., passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at her residence. She was born January 5, 1926 in Gentry County, Missouri, a daughter of the late Clifford and Minnie Coffee Rucker. She had been employed as a hospital housekeeper. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed quilting. Mrs. Newman is survived by her husband, Ernest David Newman; her daughter, Barbara Newman of Parkersburg, W.Va.; her son, Harry Newman and his wife, Cynthia, of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; two grandchildren James Newman and Joanie Newman; and four great-grandchildren, Emily Winans, Ryan Winans, Evangeline Newman and Loralai Newman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Roy and one sister, Fern. There will be no visitation or ceremony.The Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Ave., Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
