Nancy Hindy

Nancy Hindy, 64, of Parkersburg, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at her residence with her family by her side, after a courageous battle against cancer. Nancy was born in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Warren F. and Gertrude F. Curry Compton. Her husband, Ray Hindy, who she married July 4, 1969,survives along with one son, Nathan S. Hindy of Parkersburg; one sister, Frances G. Morehead of Elberton, Georgia and a special friend, Christine Howells. She attended Ohio University and The University of Hawaii.Nancy was previously employed by Ohio University assisting veterans with benefits and served eighteen years at WVU-P in Human Resources.She was a member of the Parkersburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Honoring Nancy's decision to be cremated, there will be no visitation and a private service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
