Michael A. Pittman, 66, of Parkersburg, passed away in the presence of family at 11:26 P.M. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center.Michael was born at Parkersburg, May 29, 1952, a son of Erma E. Kendall Pittman Pethtelof Parkersburg and the late Dempsey A. Pittman Jr.Michael's wife, Cheri A. Ballengee Mullen Pittman survives. Mr. Pittman was a 1970 graduate of PHS and attended four years of vocational training.He was a proud member and retiree from Pipefitters Union Local 565 and served as a member of the 1092nd National Guard from 1971 through 1977.Michael and Cheri loved to travel and have wonderful memories of destinations visited in the United States and foreign locations.He especially enjoyed camping, fishing, photography and woodworking. In addition to his mother Erma and loving wife Cheri, Michael is survived by two sons, Brian M. Pittman and wife Wendy of Dallison and David W. Pittman and fiancé Cathy Knopp of Parkersburg; daughter, Carrie Blair of Belpre, Ohio; two step-daughters, Amy McPeek and husband Wayne of Mineral Wells and Missy Parsons and fiancé Ron Lowers of Lubeck; one step-son, Daniel Mullen Jr. and wife Jessa of Walker; three sisters, Donna G. Cox and husband Bert of Kentucky, Donita A. Faehnle and husband Bill of Toledo, Ohio and Denise P. Haught and husband Gary of Williamstown;fourteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter.Preceding Michael in death in addition to his father includes his first wife, Carol S. Pittman; one sister, Deborah Rogers and one brother Stephan N. Pittman. A funeral service with Pastor John Strimer officiating will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg.Friends are invited to visit from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Monday and one hour prior to service on Tuesday.Services will conclude with burial in the Evergreen North Cemetery. Prior to his passing, Michael requested a final thought be shared, "Thanks for the Memories".
