Mervin Edward Hill

Mervin Edward "Ed" Hill, 80, of Parkersburg, passed away October 30, 2016 at his home. He was born April 4, 1936 in South Charleston, WV, to Clark Edward and Lethia Lewis Hill. He was a member of the Lauckport Baptist Church for fifteen years and was a construction worker. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran and loved singing hymns. Surviving are two sons , Mervin E. Hill, Jr., of Parkersburg and Jeffrey C. Hill of Vincent OH, and one daughter, Rebecca (Larry) Edwards, of Vienna, five grandchildren, Danny (Cassie) Edwards, Chris Edwards, Angela Edwards, Zack Hill and Kylee Hill, and two great-grandchildren, Fischer and Parker Edwards. Also surviving are two sisters, Fay Jean McMillion and Kay Francis Harper of South Charleston, WV, and several Nieces and Nephews. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife, Katherine Santee Hill. Friends and Family are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2p.m. at Kimes Kimes Funeral Home 521 5th St. Parkersburg with Pastor Rick Eaton officiating. Visitation will also be on Saturday , November 5, 2016 from 11 a.m. until service time. Donations in Ed's memory can be made to any group supporting veterans.
