Matilda Wallace

Matilda Wallace, 92, of Washington, WV passed away at her home on July 4, 2017.She was born December 5, 1924 in LaSalle, Illinois to the late Frank and Mary Zokal Vogrinc. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and was a homemaker.She had worked at the Michigan D.N.R., volunteered for Attwood Elementary School in Michigan, she then moved to West Virginia to be with her family and take care of her four grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Margaret (Doug) Dennis, Sr., of Washington, WV, four grandchildren Doug, Jr., Hannah, Jake and Carson. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Gerald Joseph Wallace, one brother, Frank Vogrinc, four sisters, Mary Flanagan, Theresa Borys, Ann Ennenbach, and Josephine Ansteth. There will be a Memorial Mass at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church Tuesday July 18, 2017 at 10 Am with The Rev. J Stephen Vallelonga officiating, the family will greet guests one hour prior to services at the Church.
