Mary Frances Workman

Mary Frances Workman, 82, of  Parkersburg, WV passed away peacefully at home Friday afternoon, February 23, 2024. She was born in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late Joseph F. Stewart and Margaret Masters Stewart.

Mary Frances was the 7th generation of the Davis family that settled in Marietta with the pioneers in 1792.

She was a lifelong resident of Vienna and Parkersburg and a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Vienna.

After graduating from Parkersburg High School with the Class of '59, she attended Beauty School and worked as a hairstylist for 13 years at the Belvedere, Silhouette and Elegante Salons.

After the birth of her children, Kelly Marie Workman, of  Belpre, OH and Gregory John Workman of  KY, she switched careers to babysitting in her home for 26 years and caring for over 300 children during those years.  The last 26 years of her working life and career, she made a difference in the lives of others with disabilities.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Stella Foggin, who held a special place in her heart; her maternal uncle and aunt, Clifford and Margaret Masters, who raised her; and her aunt Blanche Shield.

For those who knew Mary Frances, knew she was hanging on to the TRUMP card, "Hoping to Make America Great Again".

In keeping with her wishes, Mary requested no services and cremation to be performed by the Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home.  She also requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or online at www.stjude.org
