Mary Anne Gonzales

Mary Anne McGucken Gonzales, 88, of Parkersburg passed way Monday, March 20, 2017. She was born October 6, 1928 at Sistersville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Bernard F. and Otillia J. Baker McGucken. Mary Anne was a 1946 graduate of Sistersville High School.She attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and was a 1950 graduate of the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing.She was a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital and retired in 1987 as a private duty nurse.Mary Anne was a member of the St. Joe RN Association and St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Judith A. Wilson of Parkersburg; her sons, Thomas J. (Cheryl) Gonzales and Lewis J. “Joe” (Amy) Gonzales, both of Parkersburg; six grandchildren, Katherine A. Gonzales, Elizabeth E. Gonzales, Abby E. Gonzales, Brian P. Wilson, Mark C. Wilson and Matthew Gonzales; one great-grandson, Jaycob Gonzales; and a sister-in-law, Lucille McGucken of San Diego, Calif. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis J. Gonzales in 1997; and brothers, J. Thomas McGucken, James B. McGucken, Paul T. McGucken and infant, John McGucken. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 A.M. Friday, March 24, 2017 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Rev. J. Stephen Vallelonga as Celebrant.Services will conclude with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg.
