Marvin "Jack" Thomas

Marvin “Jack” Thomas, 84, of Washington, WV, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, September 7, 2023, with his wife by his side.

Jack was born in Wheeling, WV, September 24, 1938, a son of the late Frederick and Stella Mae Peacemaker Thomas.

He was retired, having served 30 years as President & CEO at the Bank of Lubeck, Bank of Shinston, and Wheeling Dollar Bank and owner of T Construction Corporation for 20 years, and was a member of American Bankers Association, Lions Club, and the Loyal order of Moose.

Jack will be cherished by those he leaves behind, including his wife, Hettie Jo Petticord Thomas; daughters, Theresa Greenwell, Debra Wingrove, and Jodi Rice (Scott); son, M. John Thomas; brothers, Fred Thomas and Keith Thomas; grandchildren, Thomas Wingrove, Bridget Wines Laferty, Gillian Thomas, Kinsey Thomas, Jaxson Thomas, Cameron Rice, and Cooper Rice (Emma); and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Jacquiline Stevens; grandson, Ronalds Wines III; and two sisters, his twin sister, Joyce Watterson and Beverly Wakulchik.

Jack had prearranged his final requests and in keeping with his wishes there will be no public visitation or service.
