Marvin Glen Bayles, 85, of Mineral Wells, WV, passed away and went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2024.
He was born October 2, 1938 at Xenia, IL, a son of the late Freddie and Lois Shreeves Bayles.
Marvin began operating tractors and farming the fields of Illinois with his father at the early age of eight. His passion for operating heavy equipment continued throughout his life. Eventually, retiring as a heavy equipment operator and supervisor from the West Virginia Department of Highways in Parkersburg. Marvin served his country honorably with the USMC, where he was stationed at Camp Pendleton in California. He enjoyed gardening vegetables and sharing his bounty with his neighbors. Marvin enjoyed feeding and watching birds on his front porch. He was a caring and devoted caregiver to his wife, Vicki and was a member of Victory Assembly Church of God in Mineral Wells. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and getting together as much as possible.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Vicki Bayles; daughters, Tina Richards of Gulfport, MS and Tracy Lipscomb and her husband, Jason, of Williamstown, WV; sister, Pamela Sessions of Xenia, IL; granddaughters, Mandy Brookins and her husband, Donnie, of Wiggins, MS and Ashley Holman of Irvine, CA; grandsons, Jason Harbin of Parkersburg, WV and Glen Christopher Dean and his wife, Madeline, of Williamstown, WV; great grandsons, Donnovan and Gunnar Brookins of Wiggins, MS; and great granddaughters, Jaden and Aubrie Harbin of Vienna, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Marvin Glen Bayles, Jr.; step mother, Wanda Bayles and brother, Keith Bayles.
Honoring his final wishes, there will be no public visitation or service.
