Martha Iona Elliott

Martha “Iona” Elliott, 95, of Vienna, passed away on July 29, 2019 at her residence of 93 years. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Ollie McHewitt. Iona was a homemaker and had other various jobs in the community during her life. enjoyed embroidery, sewing, making clothes, camping,loved flower gardening, vacationing and enjoyed going dancing with her late husband Roy D. Elliott. Left to cherish her memory is her children, Roy W. Elliott (Gloria Shuman) of Parkersburg, Robert P. “Bobby” Elliott of Vienna, Anita Charlene Daugherty (Bill) of Whipple, OH, Joy P. Elliott of Vienna, Cathy Hart of OH and daughter in law Cinda McHewitt of VA, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and special friends, Pearl Powell and Sharon Gilbert, both of Vienna. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son Earl McHewitt and infant daughter Juanita Elliott. The funeral service will take place August 3, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 11:00 am, with Pastor Aaron Stinnett officiating. The address is 3500 Broad St. Parkersburg, WV 26104. Burial will follow at Evergreen North. Visitation will be Friday August 2, 2019 at Kimes Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8:00 pm and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
