Mark Steven Adkins, 56, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at his residence. He was born at October 1, 1960 in Huntington, W.Va., a son of Alteon D. Adkins of Williamstown, W.Va. and the late Linda L. Burks Adkins. He was employed as a supervisor with Kimco Services and was a graduate of Williamstown Christian School.He enjoyed anything involving science fiction or space exploration and was proud of passing down his secret family recipe for chocolate sauce. In addition to his father, Mark is survived by his wife, Cynthia Kay Nuzum Adkins;two daughters, Summer Mason of Williamstown and Whitney Adkins of Parkersburg; three sons, Mark S. Adkins, II (Kristin) of Vienna, W.Va., Justin Adkins (Kassi) of Parkersburg and Jared Adkins of Parkersburg; two sisters, Alice Hall (Don) of Williamstown and Melody Adkins Carney of Evans, Ga.; four grandchildren, Wade Stephenson, Jimmy Stephenson, Conner Stephenson and Bailee Snodgrass; and his furry daughter, Coco. There will be no visitation or ceremony. The Vaughan Funeral Home & Crematory, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburgis assisting the family with arrangements.
