Marjorie M. Hite

Marjorie Marie Hite, 87, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at her Parkersburg residence. Marjorie was born November 8, 1928 at Marietta, Ohio, a daughter of the late Forest and Florence Covey Leasure.She was a graduate of Marietta High School and attended Marietta College.She was retired from the Bureau of Public Debt and was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church.She enjoyed playing bridge and reading. She is survived by two daughters, Marlene (John) McCarthy of Parkersburg and Susie (Joseph) McWilliams of Richmond, British Columbia; five grandchildren, Jennifer Francisco, Theresa McIlwee, Kathy Broadwater, Harry McWilliams and Colleen McWilliams; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on June 1, 2009 by her husband Harvey Paul Hite, Jr.; two sisters, Margaret and Betty Lou; and a great-grandson, Garrett. As her final act of kindness, Marjorie requested that her body be donated for medical research.She also requested that there be no services.The Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
